Tammi

When Tammi came to Phoenixville Women’s Outreach, she had a part-time, temporary job. In the four months that she was with at The House, Tammi continued to look for full time employment. Tammi put the majority of her efforts towards participating in The House’s financial savings program, which helped her to save enough money for a security deposit. About a month before she moved on from The House, she transitioned to full-time permanent employment. Her full time job was in Philadelphia and her commute from The House was over two hours one way every day. Tammi was committed to making this arrangement work, however the commute began to put a financial and emotional strain on Tammi. Once her job was more secure, she was able to sign a lease for a room in Philadelphia that was much closer to her job and shortened her commute by more than half. She has been in her new place for about two months now and is doing very well.
